Requirements vary by province and discipline, but most Canadian regulatory colleges utilize self-directed Continuing Professional Development (CPD) models. “Any structured CE program relevant to the practice of psychology would be acceptable; CPBAO does not pre-approve or endorse any specific CE programs… Members are expected to use their own judgment in determining the appropriateness of specific CE crediting organizations.”
Furthermore, many Canadian boards treat US national accreditations (such as APA, ASWB, or ANCC) as recognized benchmarks of course quality.
