Am I eligible for CE credits?​

Canada

We welcome mental health professionals from Canada, including psychologists, social workers and others, to claim Continuing Education/ Professional Development Credits. A formal Certificate of Completion will be provided.

Upon completion of the training, you will receive formal Certificates of Completion, which you can use to document your professional development hours. The Certificates can be customized to meet your exact needs.

Requirements can vary across provinces and professions, however many Canadian boards are very flexible and allow licensees to determine for themselves what activities are relevant for their ongoing training. For example, the Ontario College of Psychologists writes: “Any structured CE program relevant to the practice of psychology would be acceptable; CPO does not pre-approve or endorse any specific CE programs; generally, appropriate CPD activities will have a structured agenda, learning objectives, attendance (either on-site or on line) and a specified number of required hours of attendance. Members are expected to use their own judgment in determining the appropriateness of specific CE crediting organizations. ” In other cases, some boards may even offer reciprocal agreements with one of our providers (APA, ASWB, ANCC).

Overall, we have had success with many Canadian mental health professionals using our CE/PD Credit offerings, however we do encourage you to please review your board’s policies.

United Kingdom

We also welcome mental health professionals from the United Kingdom to claim this activity as Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours. A formal Certificate of Completion will be provided.

CPD can of course vary across regions and professions, however for many mental health professional a formal Certificate of Completion is what is requested in order to document your professional development hours.  We are happy to provide such a Certificate and to customize it to meet your exact needs.

The Compassion In Therapy Summit Training Package has provider approvals from the American Psychological Association (APA), the American Social Work Boards (ASWB), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). In some cases these approvals may be recognized in the UK, or reciprocal agreements may exist.

In summary, we have seen many UK mental health professionals claiming our activities as CPD, using our Certificates of Completion, however we encourage you to please review your board’s policies. 

All Other Countries

A formal Certificate of Completion will be provided!

Continuing Education requirements for mental health professionals can vary widely across the globe, so this advice is general and we suggest you review your local requirements for claiming professional development hours

When you complete the Compassion In Therapy curriculum, you will receive a formal Certificate of Completion , which you can use to document your professional development hours. We can customize the Certificate to meet your exact needs.

Your countries boards’ may or may not recognize the approvals we offer from the American Psychological Association (APA), the American Social Work Boards (ASWB), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), however in many cases, a formal Certificate of Completion is all you need to claim personal development hours.
