I met Tom who had lost his wife in 2017, in 2018. He showed me how to "become a pensioner..... a whole new way of life!
We became friend and spent time between 10am and 16H00 on most days as he lived with his children. Then I had a very serious home invasion in May 2023 and my daughter gave me no option but bought me a unit in a Retirement Village near her but far from my free-standing home near Tom. When I started packing, Tom stopped eating and living! Now he is in a facility for people with different mental and physical problems. I visit on a regular basis, and I am confronted with situations I'm not always sure how to handle. I'd like to learn as much as possible as I might be able to use the knowledge in our care centre. I've been a math teacher all my life! Hello! I'm the senior! 70 and have no idea how to upload a picture or wave etc
