Haiko, London (UK)

I am a Senior Lecturer at the University of Westminster (London, UK) and my academic background is in Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience. I am also a member of the Comparative Cognition Group set up by prof Gillian Forrester at the University of Sussex (we recently published a paper in Scientific Reports showing that motor-sensory biases are associated with cognitive and social abilities in humans). I have recently qualified as an Integrative Therapist/Coach (at the University of East London, UEL) and am about to set up private practice alongside my academic work. I have always had an interdisciplinary approach to learning and academia, and I am very interested in learning about the cross-talk between cognitive/affective neuroscience and therapy in general, and compassion in therapy in particular, as well as how we can make Higher Education institutions more compassionate (i.e. less neo-liberal).
