I have an interest in social psychology and positive psychology. Probably, in the future I would like to make a positive difference for those suffering. It is very fortunate that nowadays so many people talking about self-care and positive part of psychology that can facilitate growth and improve life satisfaction. However, the downside of it can be misinformation from non-professionals who claim to be "psychologists." Knowledge from academic papers can be too complicated for lay people and not freely available. I feel that academic language can be more simplified, but it is also good to promote all these knowledge in a way that everyone can access and understand. Also, I feel that even during Bachelor course of psychology, not enough time is dedicated for self-care and self-compassion. Moreover, it is true that students are constantly pressured with stress and burnout. It would be good to make change about that.

Besides, I have always been a negative thinker who usually criticize myself very harshly, especially if i am not doing "so well". Only recently I started thinking about being more kind and self compassionate. I cannot always be dissatisfied with myself for sure. I am only 20, but i already feel that life is just passing by, while I am in constant stress and burnout. Human life is truly short, but since nowadays we are not only talking about pathology, I hope to make life better for myself and others. I hope to get some useful information and knowledge from this webinar that can probably give some food for thought.
