  • Thank you,
It is not so easy, to choose the most compassionate person i know.. this short exercise aroused questions….and thoughts. Thank you for that..
    .

  • Thanks for the exercise. When I struggle to come up with a compassionate being and feel a bit strange to bathe in their gaze, I found my religion helped! I could easily imagine a compassionate gaze and allow myself to just be wrapped in that gaze. It was sensational. Thanks.

  • Just what I needed, such a beautiful and healing combination of touch and words. Is there a written copy of this to be able to use with others.

  • thank you, this practice resonated deeply. Will continue to practice the Compassionate u-turn, so that it becomes a natural part of my daily reflection when those moments arise.

  • Not been able to attend much but thank you for the practices – so good to have. Chris Germer’s voice got me through heartbreak so always welcome his meditations. SO amazing to hear Bessel and Licia’s practice was really special. Thank you.

  • I love your previous practices, Chris. So warm-hearted, caring and soothing. Another keeper that I will use and share. Thank you!

  • This practice called u-turn,is very effective in activating self-kindness.Thanks Chris!

  • Nice practice but everytime i whispered words to myself I was interrupted by Chris’s talking! needed just a bit more space there….Thanks – will use this one clinically.

  • I believe I truly needed this short practice 🙏 before rushing with mealX. During the soft words; “love, trust, caring, dear, thoughtfut, kind, ..” my mother came to mind 1st because I came across her messenger account & she’s left us in Spring ’16. So I spontaneously sent her my thoughts in words of missing, & loving her & wanting to embrace her forever”.
I am benefiting and enjoying this Compassion Summit tremendously. I 💕 finding Roshi Joan after decades in TX & I am overly thrilled to hear Dr. Bessel Van der Kolk in a few hours. Deep 🙏

  • This exercise had me in tears. Soothing and healing exercise, I’m experiencing a positive shift in self-love and self-compassion as a result. Thank you.

  • Thank you Chris. Definitely one for the client who struggles to feel compassion for the self

  • I am currently in Vienna, relaxing and absorbing the vibrancy of this cultural city. As as so often seeking refuge in an ancient church away from the freneticism of inner cities. Then instead of religious practises turning in to listening to session this lunchtime. Ideas of gentle gaze and warmth of touch and then inward comforting voice were conducive to a state of equanimity. A welcomed message.

  • THANK YOU CHRIS. YOUR SOFT VOICE, AND GUIDANCE IN THIS SHORT AND POWERFULL MEDITATION, ARE REALLY BEAUTIFULL.

  • A new practice to me, and one I intend to seek out and engage in again. Beautiful and calming. Thank you Chris.
