I did the practice. So interesting . I started with one emotion-fear which was coming from my tummy . Funnily enough begfore you said to put a hand on the place where the emotion was i already had my hand on my tummy. Then that emotion changed to sadness and I felt tears coming down my face. I also felt like my body was fully relaxed and feeling peace. This was really needed today as I had a nightmare last night which woke me up and has stayed with me today. Thank you.
Amazing ! 🌅💓. Traveling with wonderment this path of Compassion.
What a beautiful practice. Thank you. I wonder how to work with people who can not access the sensation in their body? Or they have difficulty bringing up the emotion when they recall the difficult experience?
Very good guided meditation practice on mindfulness compassion
Thank you Kristin
Your meditation was very calming – thank you
– it’s helpful to hear you say ” you may not even know what your feeling…..”
and When you said put your hand on the part of your body where your feeling the emotion, my hand went to some place different than i thought – allowing me to get a more accurate sense .
This summit is amazing for me – (and just in time ! )
Wonderful! Thank you. I have a client in mind who I think will benefit greatly from this practice. All of the sessions have been so rewarding.
Thank you both for your valuable time and this wonderful ‘discussion’ that evolved during the session between you. Both remarkable souls – thank you for all you do for us (me) and for the world. Many years of therapy and 30years as a therapist, discovering MSC 3 years ago was such a revelation and a revolution in both my own process and for my work with my clients. Namaste
Soften, soothe, allow. This has been my anchor for the past 5 years . Thank you Kristin for bringing this mantra into my life. I am a different person today because of this meditation .
thank you Kristin for a beautiful gift for me and then for my clients
Thank you! Had a question, but I don’t think this is the forum. I appreciate you offering this to us today.
This practice felt just right for me and freed me from a weight I didn’t even know I was carrying. Thank you, Kristin, for your kind way and lovely voice.
Hi Kristin
I enjoyed this practice. It really helped me sort out many of the feelings about a difficult situation and deepen and soften the core one. I do have one question however. I have noticed in the practices this week that MSC seems to have moved away from soothing phrases starting with “may you…”. I wonder why that is? Is it a research finding? I myself find them quite powerful but maybe it is just what I am used to
Really affective. Feel safer and more space to hold some really difficult emotion. So compassionate wishes to you and everyone. Lots of gratitude for you fantail work.
Kristin , thank you so much for this practice, it helped me a lot.
Francesca from Chile
That was very encouraging. The image of softening is much better than relaxing. Thank you.
Thank you!!
Muchas gracias. La emoción se queda en el cuerpo e impide fluir en la vida con facilidad. Contactar la emoción con la respiración, atenderla con las manos en la zona del cuerpo donde se aloja, fue muy liberador.
This was very illuminating. I was able to experience, in this meditation, a rapid connection with layered feelings, to identify and flow with one river of emotion, to clarify what and why I am still on this swirling flow, and the comfort I can offer myself. It was interesting that I moved in and out of the emotion, even within this very short time. The compassion I offered to myself felt true and genuine. Thank You very much for this experiential and revealing meditation.
Thank you
I tried the practice with frustration I was feeling
Very helpful
Thank you so much Kristen l so appreciated this session 😘😘
I feel that it must have been difficult for my therapist to hear me say, I dont know what the emotion was. Now I know that it was her job to help me find that emotion in a gentle way which she did. Thank you so much for this summit.
I tried the practice with some recognized competitiveness, jealousy ( ugh — oh not you, please.) in a recent conversation and felt the tight round ball in stomach area and then the softening, loosening. I love the last step of words of support – allowing.
At the end I asked: what do you want?
And I answered: “ to love freely even with this noticing”. Thanks
It’s a great practice, thank you for offering this and also thank you all for organizing and offering all this rich information and practice know-how to us. warm greetings from my heart 🙂
I believe that self compassion is the key to improving our self worth and self esteem I always had a kind heart but I was my own worst enemy…learning to love me is a new experience…This concept has been around a long time the book how to be your own best friend..BUT these practices teach us how to get in touch with the emotions they make us mindful thank you for self compassion I ordered the work book I’m working with my therapist……
Kristin, this meditation is strikingly gentle and warm, beautiful, even in its’ brevity-I did “choose wisely” 🙂
It epitomizes all that you teach. A ginormous thank you to you for all you have rippled out through your pioneering and ongoing work, and your person, in the field of self-compassion and compassion therapy.
Thank you for the meditation. I read the comments and saw that a person had had a nightmare the night before. It was a opening for me to learn to use compassion toward negative emotions after a nightmare. When I have nightmares they stay inside me the next day. I will bring compassion to the emotions and acknowledge their sense of fear.
Thank you so much Kristin, that was wonderful. I’m so grateful and glad that you guys have developed this type of meditation, and that you’re sharing it with us. Having had the privilege to join in a one week’s MSC training session with Chris, I must say this was one of the most delightful and enjoyable experiences I ever had in my life. Thank you.
Thank you Kristin, today it has been a difficult day for me, sadness, grief and frustration, everything combined. I feel better now, reminded me of the practices from MSC course I took during the initial months of pandemics. Need to practice more! I really admire and appreciate your ability to guide us though in such a gentle way! Obrigada! God bless you!
Thank you for sharing and connecting with all of us who are interested in furthering insight to compassion.
All efforts are appreciated and such a good choice of topics and speakers. May all be blessed in this difficult time. Zoubida
Thank you so much for setting up this wonderful summit and making it available for such a large amount of people.
Thank you for all these breathtaking and enlightening talks with so many practical issues and beneficial meditation practices. Self compassion will definitely not only take a greater part in my personal life but also in my therapies. I am very inspired and even more greatful.
At the risk of repeating myself 🙂 – thank you!
Thank you so much for this meditation practice, truly helpful and soothing. Sending kind compassion to all!
Thank you, your contributions are very meaningful and resonates with my therapeutic self. I am looking forward to go on a new adventure, being curious about all the presenters, the books you’ve written and just joyfully adding the theory to my toolbox. I welcome knowledge, wisdom and the co created time space
This has been wonderful! I really need to know how to use self-compassion as a therapist. game changer.
THANK YOU!
I loved what I was able to watch. Work prevented me from viewing most until this morning, so I am sad that the videos were taken away so soon. I think that some of us have difficulty participating in events taking place during the coventional work week.
